What We Are
Lǝ Tenerǝ is an irregularly scheduled pop-up environment for SCA events that may involve a camp collective, a social tavern, or banding together for a particular purpose.

What We're About
A E S T H E T I C: The driving force behind Lǝ Tenerǝ is a desire to look amazing while having fun. We strive to keep the visual impact of modern items to a minimum, while still acknowledging the need for such things. As much as possible we cover and conceal and disguise any modernities within the boundaries of our shared environment. For us this act of improving our visual environment is a delight, and we take pride in clever solutions.

Radical Relaxation: The SCA doesn't exist without people laboring and people researching, but those things are unsustainable without small comforts and times of rest. It is our mission to help provide tiny comforts to those who devote their energy to making the Dream a reality.

“Without constructs, you will unravel few mysteries.
Without knowledge of the mysteries, your constructs will fail.
These pursuits are what make us, but without comfort,
you will lack the strength to sustain either.”
- Psalm for the Wild-Built

"Tenderness is Period.": We believe it is possible to strive for more authentic and immersive experiences in the SCA while still maintaining compassion, kindness, and gentle care for everyone's humanity.

How We're Organized
Lǝ Tenerǝ: the People. L'Osteria: The Place

Lǝ Tenerǝ is a gender-neutral term for "the soft/tender/kind ones" taken from the Italian. This is the group name and guiding principle for all who would participate in the hospitality of l'Osteria, whether as a patron or a servitor of the house.

L'Osteria dellǝ Tenerǝ (Or simply l'Osteria) is the 'medieval tavern' space we strive to create. The guiding principle of l'Osteria is that creating an immersive atmosphere improves our experiences as participants in this game.

Anyone with an interest in l'Osteria, who has visited or not, and is excited to learn more about what we do, is welcome as un clientǝ

Those who have shown up regularly to be part of L'Osteria, to share food and drink and space and entertainment, may be granted the role of un frequentatorǝ by l'ostǝ of Lǝ Tenerǝ.

Those who express explicit interest in helping create l'Osteria (be that via working in the tavern, making things to make it look nice, transporting or storing items, etc.) may be asked by Maestrǝ V to become part of l'ostǝ, the core decision-making and organizing group of Lǝ Tenerǝ.

All participants, regardless of role, are expected to adhere to community guidelines and respect one another.
